The Experience
Set in Lower South Hill just west of Mingz Supermarket and a minute from Irie Life, Lobster House is the passion project of Garvey Lake (the same hand behind Sunshine Shack) with Head Chef George Reid running the pass. The space is open, high-ceilinged and breezy, with dim lighting inside and an outdoor patio strung with tiki torches ΓÇö dressy enough for a special night but relaxed enough that you can arrive in linen and flip-flops. Service is warm and attentive, portions are generous, and the room fills nightly with a mix of visitors and Anguillians who come specifically for the lobster.
What to Try
Start with the Citrus Lobster — chunks of spiny lobster tossed with avocado, scallions and citrus in lemon mayo — or the silky spiny lobster bisque. The signature main is the Grilled Anguillian Lobster in white wine and lemon, plated with jasmine rice and garden vegetables; the Pumpkin Lobster Risotto and Lobster Mac & Cheese are the other reasons regulars keep coming back. Landlubbers do well with the cast-iron roasted striploin or sautéed red snapper. Save room for the eggnog cheesecake.
