Nature Foundation Sint Maarten is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources on Sint Maarten. They conduct scientific research and monitoring of key habitats including coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves, and terrestrial areas, manage protected areas such as the Man of War Shoal Marine Park (Saba's sister reserve involvement), implement beach cleanups, sea turtle monitoring and nest protection programs, invasive species control (including lionfish culling), coral restoration efforts, environmental education programs for schools and the community, policy advocacy, and public awareness campaigns. The foundation also organizes eco-tours, volunteer opportunities, and collaborates with local and international partners to address climate change, pollution, and habitat loss while promoting ecotourism and responsible stewardship of the island's unique ecosystems.
